A picture I posted yesterday.

So this picture I posted yesterday.
I don’t post a lot of selfies (anymore), in fact most selfie-type photos are usually on my IG stories only.

I want to make everything about content and my clients, because it isn’t about me, and I don’t advocate for Fitness pros to have only pictures of themselves on their pages, as clients don’t particularly care about us and what we are doing as much they care what we’ve done for others and what we can provide for them- not our endless selfies…but to each their own.

In this photo I am actually 5lbs heavier than I was this summer, the scale doesn’t move much but my abdominal skinfold has gone down.
Hey I am 36 now, and things don’t work the way they did 10 years ago. Our metabolism changes.

I got a lot of messages asking what I am eating what am I doing, etc. so I felt the need to address them on here, because Iiterally do exactly what I advise all my clients to do- eat real food, protein and vegetables, then worry about the rest.

This summer I had underestimated my output with training for SFG and adding other workouts without increasing my calories 🤦🏼‍♀️

I could feel my body tanking and see it in my bloodwork, my thyroid #’s spiraling down and I knew why.

I recruited the help of my “bro”Jim Brown an insanely smart no bullshit here is the truth coach to take over and monitor my nutrition choices and he basically was like “bro, what the eff are you doing” 🤣 because even coaches need coaches- someone to hold us accountable and pull our head out of our ass when we make dumb decisions 🙋🏼‍♀️

SO This is what I have done that has worked for ME on a very basic level:

🦍 Significantly increased my vegetable intake- we’re talking veggie belly bloat and all, to get my guts back in “shape”. Because if you don’t use it you lose it and gut health is everything as many of our hormones are manufactured there.

🦍 I don’t eat bars or use shakes anymore, because they do bad things to my digestive system and offer no nutritional value.
Convenience = prep work because easy is earned, not given. I now own aisle 4 of Costco in veggies and put all my proteins from The Measured Chef on top 😃

🦍 I cut my lifting down to 4 days a week, focusing on upper/lower splits and going heavy and hard. Part of the reason the scale doesn’t budge as I put on precious muscle and my muscles fill up with more glycogen and a little inflammation from going heavy.

🦍 I walk 60min + whenever I can. Podcast and presentation planning time.

🦍 Sleeping like a rock too 😃

So I am eating more and exercising less, but moving a lot. This is what works for ME. I spent 6 years trying different “diets” and there is no structure that works for everyone, eating protein and lots of veggies with a little avocado works for ME. It takes time and effort to figure out what works for you. Patience, which I’m guilty of having none too.

If you aren’t sure how to figure out what works for you, I can help. I want to help. I love helping
I don’t do meal plans- those don’t educate you- but I teach you how to be your own intuitive eater/exerciser/Metabolic life crusher

Basically, to be a Gorilla 🦍🦍🦍🦍🦍🦍🦍🦍
